GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN DIGITAL FORENSICS

Computers and various digital devices are used throughout all organizations small or large to operate their business today. The fundamental role of digital systems in business brings with it serious security challenges. Hackers and criminals are constantly attacking all types of organizations. To mitigate such risks it is important for IT specialists to obtain comprehensive overview of digital forensics. This specialized graduate certificate program in digital forensics provides students with comprehensive "digital crime scene investigation" knowledge, including forensic analysis policy and procedures, forensic analysis tools, data recovery, and investigation.

Class Schedule 2007-2008, Boston Campus:

Fall 2007: Saturday face-to-face meetings: 9/8/07, 10/13/07, 11/17/07 and 12/8/07

  • MET CS 625 HB Business Data Communication & Networks (9AM – 12PM).
  • MET CS 693 HB Digital Forensics   (1PM - 4PM).

Spring 2008: Saturday-face-to-face meetings: 1/19/08, 2/9/08, 3/22/08, and 4/12/08

  • MET CS 703 Network Forensics (4 cr.) ( 9AM – 12PM ).
  • MET CS 699 Data Mining and Business Intelligence (4 cr.) (1PM - 4PM).

Note: Even if you do not complete the forensics graduate certificate, the courses can be applied to our M S CS/CIS/Telecom degree.
