Overview

The increased demand and availability of advanced technologies has created a need for secure information systems and the professionals skilled in designing, operating, and managing these systems. To meet this demand, the Boston University Diploma Program in Information Systems and Security provides students with both the general and technical knowledge necessary to excel in this emerging, specialized field.

During the14-week program, students learn cutting-edge information system technologies from distinguished University faculty and top industry leaders. Utilizing case studies, graduates of the Diploma Program develop core technical competencies in information theory, computer networks, *and the databases and operating systems of any governmental organization or private company that depends on the use of information technology.

Primary focus will be on the following:

Information Systems Management and Design
Systems Provision and Administration
Supervision of Secure Information Processing Systems
