Graduate Certificate in Telecommunication

The goal of this certificate is to provide the knowledge and critical skills required by the rapidly expanding field of modern telecommunication. The Student gains fundamental technical knowledge about data communications and telecommunication, as well as knowledge of the telecommunication industry. The student can then choose to emphasize the technical or business side of the field.

Prerequisites
Any bachelor's degree
Programming experience equivalent to MET CS 231 or MET CS 232
MET CS 250 Applied Mathematics for Telecommunication

Curriculum
The following four courses:

MET CS 535 Data Communications and Computer Networks (formerly TC 535)
MET CS 680 Business Structure and Strategy in the Telecommunication Industry (formerly TC 680)

Any two of the following:
MET AD 742 Program and Project Management
MET AD 746 Legal and Regulatory Issues in High Technology and Bio-Technology Industries
MET CS 650 Technical Foundations of Telecommunication (formerly TC 650)
MET CS 670 Computer Science Concepts in Telecommunication (formerly TC 670)

Please Note: Students who have completed a course in data communications and computer networks in their undergraduate program may substitute MET TC 635 Computer Networks: Design and Implementation for MET CS 535.
