Computer Science Department Graduate Assistantships involve PC lab operations, special projects and research or other service responsibilities related to the academic program, for a reduction in the tuition costs of graduate study at MET College. Graduate students in CS, CIS and TC degree programs offered by the department are eligible to apply for the assistantships, provided they maintain a GPA of 3.0 and register for at least 12 credits (full-time) or 8 credits (part-time).
Assistantships are applied for on a semester basis. Students awarded an assistantship required to work 20 hours per week for 14 weeks (full-time) and 15 hours per week for 14 weeks each semester (part-time). The amount of tuition reduction of each assistantship may vary, with a maximum not to exceed the total graduate tuition costs assessed for each student on a semester basis. During the summer term graduate assistantships are paid as hourly wage. The deadlines for the submission of the applications are:
Fall semester-July 15;
Spring semester-December 1;
Summer term-May 1.
