MET Information Technology Services team defines its mission to support and improve educational process by providing classrooms and computer labs equipped with the state-of-the-art technology, supporting innovative educational approaches, closely working with faculty and staff to research emerging technologies and enrich quality of learning, and create a productive and secure environment for students, faculty and administrative staff of Metropolitan College and Extended Education by providing first class services and support.
MET ITS & OIT
While MET ITS and the Office of Information Technology (OIT) are both computer support entities on the Boston University Charles River Campus, they serve different purposes. MET ITS exclusively supports MET & EE users and is concerned with the computers and software owned by MET & EE.
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) supports computing services university-wide, supplying the foundation (e.g. the university's network and e-mail systems) upon which many ITS services are built.
MET ITS team is staffed by IT professionals with experience in network and desktop administration, database, applications and web management, and IT training and consulting.
