Computer Science Programs Make a Comeback in Enrollment 
For the first time in six years, enrollment in computer science programs in the United States increased last year, according to an annual report that tracks trends in the academic discipline.

Graduate Assistantships available: 
Graduate Assistantship positions are available through the MET Computer Science Department for current MET graduate students with background and interest in one of the following areas:

1. CISSP designation (CISSP certified candidates are preferred)
2. Biometrics
3. Medical and Health Systems and Informatics
4. Financial Systems Informatics
5. Networking  

The work will be focused on research and lab development in the listed areas.  If interested, please email your resume to csinfo@bu.edu, specifying the area of your interest.

New Concentration in Database Systems and Business Intelligence
The Department of Computer Science is pleased to announced that students enrolled in the Master of Science in Computer Information Systems may now pursue a concentration in Database Management and Business Intelligence. Students will have the opportunity to use Oracle DBMS and understand data warehousing and data mining strategies. Database management systems play a key role within every organization across all industries. Career tracks include database and knowledge modelers, designers, and developers.
